Ace Manufacturing, a clutch manufacturer based in Sullivan Missouri, is proud to announce that it will sponsor the service park for the Rally in the 100 Acre Wood. Ace will have a booth at both service parks in Salem and Steelville to display their line of clutches designed specifically for competition vehicles.
Ace Manufacturing and Parts Company is a family owned company that has been in business for over 45 years and is known in the industry as an innovative leader in clutch technology. Ace offers clutches for high performance street cars, drag racing, circle track, truck and tractor pull, diesel pickup trucks, heavy duty over the road hauling, and many other applications.
For rally car applications, Ace pulls from the wealth of technology and experience gained from 20 years of making racing clutches for professional drag racers and circle track racers worldwide. The new line of rally car clutches are designed utilizing a one‐piece billet aluminum cover with a unique profile. This design provides superior strength, and a lower polar moment of inertia for faster acceleration and more power to the wheels. Ace also offers a complete line of discs, floaters, and clutch accessories that will help get drivers to the finish line first.
Ace is the only clutch manufacturer that also produces its own proprietary friction materials in house. Along with superior friction materials, Ace’s O.E. style discs are also made with patented cryogenically processed springs that ensure durability and longevity. Ace Manufacturing is an ISO certified company with a commitment to superior quality and production control systems.
Sanctioned by Rally America, the Rally in the 100 Acre Wood will cover over 120 racing miles that will test rally teams from all across the country (and several foreign countries) on a variety of gravel road surfaces. Set in the foothills of the Ozark Mountains, this rally contains some of the most scenic roads on the Rally America calendar. Each day will begin with a rally car show and opening ceremony. On Friday, February 22nd, the cars and competitors will be on display at the Lions’ Club Park in Potosi, from 12:00 PM to 1:30 PM. The cars will then drive to Steelville for a single service, located near the Meramec Music Theater, from 4:15 PM to 5:45 PM. Saturday’s activities kick off at 8:45 AM on Fourth Street in downtown Salem.
The public is invited to join in the festivities, see the cars up close, pose for photos, get autographs,
and meet the teams at the start of each day and at the service areas in Steelville on Friday and the Dent County Commons on Saturday. Teams will compete throughout each day, passing multiple spectator points, before returning to Salem Saturday night at the Dent County court house at 8:45 PM. There is no admission charge for any of these events.
Spectator Guides will be available at various community locations and online at the rally website, http://www.100aw.org. The guide will include detailed maps and directions to each spectator location and a full event schedule.
