Cooper Tires Becomes Presenting Sponsor of 100AW Performance Rally Group

Cooper Tire and the 100AW Performance Rally Group are proud to announce a multi-year title sponsorship deal. Cooper will present all three of the group’s rallies, Missouri Ozark Rally (Jan. 11), Rally in the 100 Acre Wood (March 20-21), and Show-Me Rally (Oct. 3).  Cooper will also be the title sponsor of the Eastern Ozark Rally Cup, which is given out to the top performers that ran all three 100AW Performance Group rallies.

“100AW Performance Rally Group has been looking for an organization to partner with to grow its media and spectator footprints both in the local area and nationally, and Cooper, with its proud history in motorsports and enthusiasm, fills that bill,” said Kim DeMotte (rep from 100AW Performance Rally Group).

“We are pleased to expand our presence in the North American rally market by serving as the title sponsor of the Rally in the 100 Acre Wood, the Missouri Ozark Rally, the Show-Me Rally and the Eastern Ozark Rally Cup,” said Chris Pantani, Director of Motorsports for Cooper Tire. “Cooper has built a reputation for providing quality rally tires and exceptional service, and we are looking forward to bringing that level of support to teams in this exciting race series.”

Teams should contact Meg Snyder, Events Facilitator for Cooper and rally series liaison, for information about the rally contingency program and team sales prior to the Rally in the 100 Acre Wood by emailing mrsynder@nullcoopertire.com.

About the 100AW Performance Rally Group:  The Rally in the 100 Acre Wood is a performance rally car race that was started in 1977 and ran several years before going on hiatus due to family commitments of the organizers. In 2002, the 100AW Performance Rally Group was created, the Rally in the 100 Acre Wood was revived and has been held every winter since. Rally in the 100 Acre Wood is currently held in Dent, Crawford, and Washington Counties of Missouri, though other areas have been used in the past. It is currently based out of Salem, MO with stages in Steelville and Potosi as well. The rally has long been known for the fast, flowing roads through the Mark Twain National Forest where most of the rally takes place.

Since the revival and success of the Rally in the 100 Acre Wood, organizers recognized the need to do their part to grow the sport that they love.  In 2011, the Perryville Farm and Forest Rally (PFFR) was born. Based in Perryville, MO, this event was created to fill the needs of regional competitors wanting to get seat time.  This event was very successful at not only bringing in new local competitors but encouraging volunteers to step up into committee roles within the organization. PFFR had 3 events and ran from 2011 to 2013.

In 2014 Show-Me Rally (SMR) took over that need for a regional event.  Based in Potosi, MO, SMR mostly uses roads found in the northern area of the Rally in the 100 Acre Wood.  This event has been a staple for not only local teams but teams across the country to get inexpensive seat time at an event that is organized with national event standards.

After 5 successful years of SMR, competitors, residents, and organizers wanted more rally.  At the conclusion of SMR 2018, the 100AW Performance Rally Group announced that they would be bringing rally back to Shannon County, MO, and  Missouri Ozark Rally (MOR) was born. Based in Eminence, MO, this rally was created to cultivate what makes our sport so great… Competitors and Volunteers.  Competitors will enjoy a simple rally with a lot of stage miles for a small 1-day event, while volunteers will also get a chance to learn a new role and train for filling positions at the Rally in the 100 Acre Wood the following month.

2019 Eastern Ozark Rally Cup

The 100AW Performance Rally Group is introducing the 2019 Eastern Ozark Rally Cup (EeyORe Cup) for its friends and family.

As rallying has grown up in Missouri over the past 42 years (yes kids we rallied in 1977 on some of the same roads we’re racing on today) our family has grown to dozens and dozens of key committee people, dozens of rally teams, hundreds of rally day volunteers, more and more communities and even the occasional new counties (welcome Shannon County…although, truth be told we ran in Shannon County in the 1970’s…so welcome back!).

We decided to create an inclusive award bringing our volunteers and our competitors together since we’re all becoming more and more acquainted and more and more co-responsible for our genuine fun.

The EeyORe Cup will award points to volunteers, committee folks, and competitors over the year. We will count points for finishing positions on Regional events. Events counting toward the Cup are:

Missouri Ozark Rally
Trespassers Wil Friday
Trespassers Wil Saturday
Show-Me

Points will be awarded in 2 classes, 2WD and AWD and multiple volunteer positions depending on their level of responsibility.

More details can be found in the official rules: 2019 eeyorecup
