Volunteer registration for the 2020 Rally in the 100 Acre Wood is open! Competitor registration opened today, and within 4 hours, we had over 30 entries, so it’s going to be a big year! Our event is made possible by over 300 volunteers each year. In addition, we have opened Volunteer Registration for the Show-Me Rally (October 3rd), so you can get both on your calendar and considering signing up for both at once! You can find more information on the types of things you might be needed for, and a link to our registration system here: 100AW Volunteer Information. Please note that when you register for 100aw, it automatically registers you for both days (Friday and Saturday), but you can uncheck Friday or Saturday if you can only work one day. And, if you can only work one day, we can still use you!
Note: If you are working as part of the groups with Missouri Gambler 500 or Midwest Jeepthing, please state so in the “works with” or “comments” section of your registration on RallyMasterPro.
Thanks again for your support, and hope to see you there!
The official 2019 Spectator Guide is now available. Please visit the spectator information page for maps, schedule, and the full guide on spectating at the Rally In the 100 Acre Wood.
100 Acre wood entry is set to go live Jan 14th at 12:00 noon EST
Please use these coupon codes for the Subaru early entry discounts:
100AWSUBNAT for the $500 national entry
100AWSUBREG for the $300 regional entry.
There are ten of each.
We want to let all competitors know that entry to 100 Acre Wood will open on January 14. The Supps will be posted then as well. There will be ten regional and national Subaru entry credits to the first ten of each entered as part of the Subaru contingency. The rally will be about 125 miles of stages over two days this year. The rally will start in Potosi, MO on Friday, March 15 with a parc expose at 12:30 and then a super special stage at the Lions Park. The rally will start on Saturday, March 16 with the usual parc expose in downtown Salem, Mo at 8:45am. Service will be at Huzzah Valley Resort on Friday and the Dent County Commons on Saturday.
This year we will also have a round of the SxS Championship that will be 52 miles of stages on Friday only.
In addition, we will also kick off the rally with a Fan Fest at Public House Brewing in St. James, MO on Wednesday, March 13. Recce registration will also be at this location from 6-8pm.
The 2019 100 Acre Wood Rally is poised to be one of the biggest yet! This year we have joined forced with American Rally Association as part of their national series, and expect this to bring some big name teams, many entries and a lot of spectators. As such, we will need more help than ever! But to clarify some confusion, the organizing committee is essentially the same group is has been and this event is managed by the 100AW Performance Rally Group as it has always been.
You should register to help us at this event at: www.rallymasterpro.com/workers/?group=6
We are also trying something new in our volunteer efforts, in that is we have partnered with a few enthusiast groups to man entire stages by recruiting helpers that can work together as a team on a given stage. You might have seen information from Gambler 500, but we have also enlisted the assistance of Midwest Jeepthing, Mid-Mo Subies, and the St Louis BMW Car Club. If you are part of one of these organizations, you still need to register on RallyMasterPro.com, but in the notes please mention you are part of that group. I will be working closely with the coordinators from these groups to make sure you should be with them and get you an assignment with that group. Coordinators are:
Gambler 500: Drew Teghtmeyer
Midwest Jeepthing: Tommy Davis
Mid-Mo Subies: Matt Jones
BMW CCA: Kelsey Stephens
I’m going to try to post some better information that we can all link to of the various positions we usually need, what they entail and which we have the most need for, and then we can share that link, stay tuned for that.
In the meantime, register, tell your friends, and let’s assemble a great team to put together a great event in 2019!
For those in that need a rally fix while awaiting 100aw to return in March, we have the Show-Me Rally in a few weeks. It is held on Saturday, October 6th, and is a one day rally in Washington County, MO (i.e., Potosi, MO area). While this is a single-day, smaller/regional rally, it is also part of the Rally-America National Championship. There are currently 32 cars registered to compete, and this is a record for this event! Watch the links below for more information on the competitors, the schedules and spectating opportunities. Or better yet…… sign up to volunteer and help the rally!
Rally in the 100 Acre Wood offers many opportunities for spectators to interact with the drivers & crew, watch the cars drive the stages, and see the crew make repairs to their cars in the service area. All spectator locations are free of charge and no tickets are needed.
As always, parking is a problem on the forest’s narrow roads. Please do not double-park and block these roads. All cars must park on the same side of the road. We must keep one side of the road clear and open for traffic. This is used as an access route for emergency vehicles.
Please follow the marshal’s directions when parking your car and please respect the Spectator Control Marshals. They work very long hours to ensure your safety and viewing enjoyment.
Printed spectator maps will be available in the Salem & Steelville newspapers a few days before the rally. Or visit the Rally America information booth at the Parc Expose’ on Friday and Saturday to pick up your free copy of the spectator guide.
